China China??????????

China?????????? - china

I want to go to China for 2 weeks or take a few days. When recommending in China, I (I'm not for young adults and seniors) for tourism or the experience of China in all its fullness. I'm leaving Chicago, so that the city should begin in China?

Avoid Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, despite what anyone - including people who have touched upon above - you. All the tourist traps. After Beijing and go and say that you have in China is a bit like a visit to downtown Manhattan and say, you have the United States. Not even a little representative of the daily life of the average person. I recommend, Qingdao, Harbin, Dalian, Shenyang, Xiamen, Hohhot, or ... all in half the cities on the road, offers a fine, while tourist-experience gives you an idea of China, Shanghai or Beijing can not.

Definitely Shanghai, you'll love it here! Although not much to see, but this town has its own character, should not be missed.

I suggest you see the places you want, but also comes in a few days. Simply take a bus and go to a non-tourist city. It is the "real" experience in China (after all, most Chinese live in rural areas and not in the cities, proposed by other posters here)
Prepare for an experience that stay with you for the rest of his life is. I lived and worked in rural China in the first 12 months of my time there, and I can say that there is nothing like China that most people do or see.
If you were very interested to know how and what taught about it!
Good luck!

Two weeks is too short, but it must be for a first experience with this great country ... China is as big as the United States and Canada, so do not expect to see and do in such a short time. I traveled to China several times in the last 23 years and yet there are still many provinces did not have visited ...

First, my advice is to take a bite at the time. Of course, Beijing will not be missed. Not the best of China, but the window. Do not miss out. Shanghai is not one-to-be-missed. Xi'an, Kunming, Dalian, Xiamen ... and visit all the places to ... Anyway, I am in Beijing (travel from one side to the Great Wall at Simatai or Mutanyu) and Shanghai (with perhaps a side trip to Suzhou and Hangzhou), Xian, and maybe if time permits. Choose the train, it's more fun and you can see on the ground. It is also cheap and fast. To build your own itinerary to see the website below. The main recommendation (with the completion of toilet paper wherever you go ... and I mean that) every time: Get Lonely PlAnet Guide to China, and the phrase book that accompanies it.

You have the trip of a lifetime! If you go with open eyes, open mind and open heart, you can go back for more ...

I stay in Chicago, too! lol but what I'm assuming that you go originating in the People's Republic of China and China is not the case, if I may go to Macau, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Chongqing, of course! I recommend that all of Hong Kong and Shanghai, including Shanghai, which is quite nice! It's like an improved version of New York street nanijing omg dude, you should check how the Times Square, but 10000000000 times better and bigger! Pudong, Shanghai man whoot whoot! It's amazing! especially for young people in Shanghai and Chongqing, the man, but the clubs are vast, but expensive!
